Growing up I always wondered what my mission in life would be. I always knew I wanted to make a difference. Even if i lived just to reach out to one soul that’ve been enough for me. As you get older you realize all the things going on in this world. More than half of the world is starving, have no homes, children and women being raped or taken out of their families to fight in wars. People dieing because they dont have the right medications, and well list goes on.
I thought to myself well how can I stop all of this? How can i help? Almost nearly impossible simply because no one cares and no one will care because peoples priorities are all fucked up. All everyone cares about are celebrities, who is driving the hottest car, who owns the latest trends ect. Then I realized thats only because that’s all we’re being fed, by the media. In other words, we are being brain washed so that we would’nt notice or care for whats going on in the world and focus on the unimportant things. Make us feel powerless and useless so we look up to these rich “idols” or “celebs” and spend a life time wanting to be like them and live their life style. Spend millions of dollars on unimportant materials,which dont get me wrong they are nice things to have, but is that really what we should be focusing on right now with everything going on? Then thats when you think to yourself well how can one person like me do so much with such little power. Well let me tell you something my friend thats exactly how “they” want you to think.
So when people ask, “Why Kony and why now, when this has been going on for so long and there are hundreds of other countries, millions of other people suffering?” Well this Kony Project isnt just about stopping Kony its about us human beings coming together and trying to make a difference for the world. Its up to us because the government has obviously shown us they could care less. So i see this Project as the beginning of a new generation a new world where we can all help one another and end this world suffering and enter a world of peace. We all just need to come together and be aware. When will we stand up for HUMANITY and say enough is enough.
